Indulge your inner yuppie and improve your wine and cheese party-throwing skills by learning how to properly pair vino and queso (or pick up enough buzzwords to fool your khaki-wearing friends). Valley Cheese and Wine will host a 90-minute class featuring 12 cheeses and a half-dozen different wines starting at 6:30 p.m. 1770 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Suite 110. $40.

After class, use your new knowledge to dazzle friends and fellow vinophiles at your favorite wino watering hole. Nora’s Wine Bar & Osteria (1031 S. Rampart Blvd.); the Hostile Grape at M Resort (Las Vegas Boulevard and St. Rose Parkway); Sunset and Vines at Lake Las Vegas (40 Costa Di Lago); or The Grape at Town Square.

Wine not your thing? Skip the zin and check out the Sin City Sinners at Wasted Space in the Hard Rock Hotel. Doors at 9 p.m., $15 cover.

Brush up on your current events and political satire with Jon Stewart as he performs at the Terry Fator Theatre at The Mirage. No children under the age of 5; ages 6 to 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Feb. 5 and 6, 10 p.m., tickets $89-$119. After the show, head over to Revolution, where ladies drink free till midnight (vodka open bar starts at 10 p.m.), or Jet, where DJ Eddie McDonald spins his blend of Top 40 mash-ups and house and local girls get in free if they RSVP in advance. (Sorry, ladies, you’ll have to pay for your cocktails once you get in, regardless.) Revolution cover $10; Jet cover $30 for dudes and girls who didn’t RSVP ahead of time.

Sat. 6

Relive your ’90s ska/punk rock glory days as Sublime tribute band Badfish plays House of Blues at Mandalay Bay. All ages, though ages 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult and photo ID is required. Doors at 6 p.m., show at 7, tickets $19.50 in advance or $22.50 at the door. Later that night, head over to the Hard Rock Hotel and switch gears at Vanity, where DJ Clinton Sparks will be in the booth. Doors at 10 p.m., $20 for girls, $40 for guys, local ladies free.

Sun. 7

Don’t even think of driving home after that daylong drinking marathon disguised as a Super Bowl party wraps up. Call a cab or use a designated driver, then keep the party going at Lavo at the Palazzo as DJ Vice closes the NFL season with one of his signature, airhorn-filled sets. Doors at 11 p.m., local ladies free, guys $20, non-resident girls $10.

Mon. 8

Celebrate the start of International Flirting Week at XS at Encore by smiling at the stunning go-go dancers or chatting up the cute bartenders a little more than usual. Meanwhile, DJ Create will do his best to set the seductive soundtrack. Doors at 10 p.m., girls $20, guys $30, locals get $10 discount on cover.

Tues. 9

Get your fill of pop rock-inspired mash-ups as Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden returns to the Palms to spin a guest set at Moon during locals night. 11 p.m., locals free with photo ID, out-of-towners $20. Or, if Mr. Nicole Richie isn’t quite your thing, Blush at the Wynn provides an attractive alternative as DJ Mighty Mi spins. Doors at 9 p.m., cover $30.

Wed. 10

Take in one of the best views of the Strip during one of the last Latin nights at the Foundation Room. The luxe penthouse lounge is phasing out the theme night, so seize the moment, take an elevator ride to the top of Mandalay Bay and check it out before it is no more. Members only from 5-11 p.m., general admission after 10:30 p.m. Locals free for the first hour, standard $20 cover after midnight and for non-residents. Afraid of heights (or Latin music)? Eve comes to the answer with their go-to Wednesday night party at CityCenter featuring DJ Hollywood. Above Beso in Crystals.
