Henderson’s Green Valley Ranch will host not one, but two events at Ovation and Quinn’s Irish Pub. The Royal Purple Rockers and Darby O’Gill & the Little People will rock out at Quinn’s Irish Pub. Featured are $5 Jameson Irish whiskey specials, Irish Car Bombs, Patty Wagons and the Red Leprechaun, a shot of Jameson dropped in Red Bull. St. Patty’s Day will be celebrated throughout the Monte Carlo as both the Pub and Brand Lounge will host special events and music. Killian’s Angels will give the night a rocking start at the Pub until DJ Albert scratches the remainder of the evening with music fresh from Ireland. Helping you to “Drink Until Someone Looks Pretty,” the Pub will serve $2 green Jell-O shots, $5 Irish Car Bombs and Guinness Beer along with $8 Jameson whiskey cocktails. If you feel the luck of the Irish flowing through your veins, although it may just be the Jameson’s, buckle your shoes and dance in the Irish Jig Contest, where you could win $500. At Brand Lounge, DJ Joey D’s will spin Top 40 with a good deal of Irish beats mixed in. Guests should ‘Grab a Pot O’ Cold Ones,’ a sampling of six Irish beers for $25 or stick with the $5 Guinness beer specials. Luxor and Excalibur
If you like to bounce from bar to bar, the Guinness Beer Crawl may be your ticket. Aurora and Liquidity will host the events at the Luxor while at Excalibur, Lounge and Octane will serve Irish beer as well. If you manage to put down a pint at every stop, you’ll receive at St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl T-shirt and have a chance at a midnight drawing to win a Guinness dartboard. The MGM’s sprawling venue is vast enough to hold its own pub crawl this St. Patty’s Day. Zuri, West Wing Bar, Centrifuge and Rouge will offer $3 Jameson whiskey shots with the purchase of a $5 Guinness beer. Knock one back, get a stamp in your pub crawl passport; get a stamp from each venue and finish the night with a complimentary Irish Car bomb shot. A splash of Blue’s in a day filled with green is what you’ll find at B.B. King’s Blues Club; along with a delicious Irish theme menu. B.B.’s will have all three courses covered with green eggs and ham with potato biscuits for breakfast, corned beef and Swiss cheese sandwich for lunch and for dinner; more corned beef and cabbage. Fill up at the Buffet at Aria before a night full of drinking. A special St. Patrick’s Day menu of Guinness-braised short ribs, corned beef and cabbage, shepherd’s pie, baked parsnips and Irish lamb stew will be among the usual offerings. If an evening of fine dining is more up your alley, Sage will present a Sierra Nevada Beer Dinner. Chef Shawn McClain’s will pair five courses of his contemporary American cuisine with the Sierra Nevada’s award-winning brews. Aria, the Buffet at Aria opens for breakfast at 7 a.m., lunch 11 a.m., dinner 4 p.m. The Sierra Nevada Dinner at Sage will be $95 per guest; passed canapés will begin at 7 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m., reservations required.
McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant
For the 11th year in a row, McCormick & Schmick’s will host an evening of music, traditional Irish food and of course green beer. Gary Queen will provide the music for patrons to enjoy along with specials on Guinness, green beer, Jameson’s and Baileys. The seafood specialist will be adding corned beef and cabbage, corned beef sandwiches, Guinness shrimp, lamb stew, and corned beef sliders to their menu for the evening. Another tradition that’s quickly gaining popularity is the sixth annual St. Cabby’s Day; a complimentary buffet of green eggs, ham and Lucky Charms cereal for all cab drivers. 335 Howard Hughes Center, doors open at 5 p.m., St. Cabby’s Day 8 a.m -9:30 a.m., a special gift certificates can be picked up any time before 5 p.m. with a valid TA card and while supplies last.
Montelago Village at Lake Las Vegas
Get out of the city and visit Lake Las Vegas, which will host the Craft Beer Festival at the Village while Finnegan’s Wake plays traditional Irish music at Auld Dubliner. The Wedge Brothers will provide the live music at the beer festival, while the few beer pong balls may land in a pint of Irish beer as the Guinness Girls will stop by Auld Dubliner, which will also offer specials on drinks and food along with raffle give-a-way. The devil’s doing a jig at Diablo’s, where the Strangford Lough Brewing Company is providing brew straight from Ireland. Enjoy live performances by local band Conflict of Interest along with The Rouges, the winners of the Global Celtic Battle of the Bands. The Hard Rock is up to their usual bag of tricks this year for ShamROCKED. A lucky winner will receive a Vespa in a raffle, but in case you’d like to make yourself a little luckier, ShamRocked includes a Lucky Charms eating contest. Don’t miss out on the live performance by Jive recording artist RY Cuming as well. Doors open at 8 p.m., with a $10 suggested donation to Musicians on Call.
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day early Saturday at the Mandalay Bay Beach. The all-day celebration will feature complimentary beach entry for all hotel guests and locals, including an unlimited pass to the beer garden where you can enjoy live entertainment with DJs and Irish bands. An amazing concert will cap the night off with performances by Everlast, Whitey Ford Sings the Blues, House of Pain and La Coka Nostra, along with special guest performer B-Real of Cypress Hill. Three Angry Wives Pub
The seventh annual St Patrick’s Day Party at Three Angry Wives Pub is expected to be one of the largest in Vegas once again this year. They take over the parking lot in Boca Park where thousands visit over the course of the day every year. The event features an outdoor beer garden, traditional Irish food, cash and prize giveaways and live music all day long. See if you can help break the size of last year’s party, when Three Angry Wives went through more than 100 kegs of beer. Doors open at 7 a.m., food at noon, Live bands at 6:00 p.m.; $10 cover.
Nine Fine Irishman New York-New York will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Celtic Feis, an all-day event spanning over multiple venues. The day will start in front of Coyote Ugly, where the Desert Skye Pipe Band will play for the early starters. Head over to Nine Fine Irishmen for green beer and other various drink specials and while you’re there you might hear Celtic themed artists Mike Bowman, and Frank Joseph and the band Limey Bastewards or check out the Brooklyn Bridge to listen to Ri-Ra or the Celtic Rockers. Crown and Anchor
The British Pub is going Irish for a day as the Crown and Anchor celebrates with corned beef and cabbage specials and $5.50 drink specials. Wear some green clothing and get a free beer. No cover, Crown & Anchor is open 24-7.
Rhumbar will also go Irish with two Irish DJs from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. out on the patio playing Irish rock jams. A leprechaun will co-host with the sexy MC Elissa, and Rhumbar will give away party favors to some lucky guests. Guinness and Harp beer will be specially priced, along with Irish Car Bombs and Jameson shot specials. $10 cover, the Mirage.
The ultra dive bar will go green this spring with Beerfest 2010. Enjoy the Rockhouse’s unmistakable 80-ounce souvenir guitars filled with a choice of frozen daiquiri or beer for $38, or drink down the two-for-one Budweiser St. Patrick’s Day commemorative aluminum green beers or green daiquiris.
