A refreshing oasis of tart in a world full of overly sweet cocktails, Levinson’s RA is perfectly balanced and showcases ripe, seasonal fruit while making good use of Bacardi’s strawberry-infused Dragon Berry rum. In fact, some might consider it a dressed-up blackberry mojito.

Levinson, beverage development director at Wirtz Beverage Co., says his new creation for Nu Sanctuary can be tailored to fit personal berry preferences: “This drink will work with any fresh seasonal berries, including raspberries, strawberries, etc.”

  • 1½ ounces Bacardi Dragon Berry rum
  • ¾ ounce simple syrup
  • 1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 3-4 blackberries, plus one for garnish
  • 10-12 mint leaves, plus extra for garnish
  • soda water

Method: In a Collins glass, lightly muddle mint leaves with lime juice and simple syrup. Add ice and rum, then top with soda water. Stir gently, then garnish with fresh mint and a blackberry or lime wheel.
