A restored classic car, cleaned, polished and gleaming in the sun, is undeniably beautiful, a real head turner. After the 11th annual Super Run Classic Car show, you might need a neck massage.
The automobile admiration starts at noon Sept. 23 at The District in Henderson, where more than 100 classics will be on site. The real show begins Sept. 24, when 1,000-plus roadsters, muscle cars, hot rods and customs will descend on the Water Street District of Henderson for a weekend-long event that’s now the largest classic car show in Southern Nevada.
“It is one of Henderson’s most popular events and attracts over 100,000 car enthusiasts to the Water Street District each year,” says Andrea Primo, director of the city’s Department of Cultural Arts and Tourism.
Vehicles will line the streets from Ocean Avenue to Victory Road. The gearheads who have poured countless hours into their rides are vying for $15,000 in cash, prizes and trophies. And while static displays are fun, loudest engine and burnout competitions keep things interesting.
Admission is free. Check HendersonLive.com for details.
