When this publication launched, the first thing we did was hire Max Jacobson as our food critic. Besides the obvious need for weekly food coverage in our dining mecca, we knew when the time was right—when we’d had enough of 2010 to chew on—we would roll out our very own Restaurant Awards. And Jacobson was the guy with the chops to pull it off with credibility. Given the vastness of the city’s culinary scene these days—from AAA Diamond-studded palaces to a humble noodle house in Chinatown—our Vegas Seven awards committee also contributed insights and opinions that led to the following winners. (The most notable member was our new senior editor, Xania Woodman, who brought her beverage expertise and good taste to the table.) But in the end, Jacobson was The Decider, and we’re good with that.
Now it’s time to see what you think.
