Chateau up and running with Drake

As a Canadian, he can relate to all this Frenchness. (Photos by Denise Truscello)

The other half of the restaurant/beer garden/candy shop … etc. opening went down Saturday night when Chateau got off the ground courtesy of Canada’s finest emcee who is also a former Degrassi castmember, Drake.

During the festivities, he talked up his Joint show with Weezy, and worked the turntables for a bit before breaking out into “Up All Night,” then working his way to the VIP to do “Over” and “Miss Me” before going back to the fireplace/DJ booth to round out his set.

Other than that brief turn from DJ Neutral Zone Trap (that’s a hockey reference, kids), the booth was graced by Samantha Ronson, who was starting her residency, Britney Spears’ DJ Havana Brown and Nick Cannon, back for a second night on the ones and twos.

Reggie Bush was celebrating his 26th birthday, while Brett Ratner had a spot, as did the Chargers’ Stephen Cooper and Shaun Phillips, plus the Lions Ndamukong Suh. Wilmer Valderrama and Angel Porrino aslo turned up.

On Friday, Kim Kardashian checked out the patio. Cannon’s DJ set that night saw Mel B and Josh Strickland join him in the booth. Whitney Port was doing her 26th birthday, and Elaine Wynn and Victor Drai were in to check the spot out. For the full run, including Chateau’s French maid cocktail servers, hit up SpyOn.
