The Other Kardashian

Every so often a Kardashian who doesn’t have a sex tape or a baby or a husband in the NBA gets to have the spotlight.

Robert Kardashian took his turn March 18 at Jet when he came in for his 24th birthday. Of course, the sisters weren’t far behind—Kim and Khloe came in to celebrate. Floyd Mayweather Jr. also joined the crew, ensuring Robert would only be the fourth-most famous person at his own birthday. He still clocked in ahead of Malika Haqq, though. So that’s something.

Then again, he did get a Lakers cake that had a No. 24 on it for his 24th birthday. That is also Kobe’s number. So, just to revise that list of the most famous at that party, it goes: Mayweather, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, the Kobe Bryant cake, Robert Kardashian and then Malika Haqq. We hear the Kobe Cake is in negotiations for its own Keeping Up With the Kardashians spin-off, too, just as soon as Kylie Jenner turns 18.

Skinny Dugans: A legendary sports bar in limbo

By Mike Henle

Transplanted New Yorker Bob Keck and his brother, Fred, opened Skinny Dugans in August 1973. After 33 years, in 2006, the Kecks sold the profitable and popular establishment at 4127 W. Charleston Blvd. “We thought it was time,” says Bob, 67. “We got a good offer and let it go. I have regretted selling it ever since. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about it.”
