A rejuvenated Tropicana will emerge from two years of cosmetic surgery when its sexiest new feature, the world-famous Nikki Beach, opens its ninth location on May 26.
Nikki Beach Worldwide is renown for its grand-scale operations in St. Tropez and Miami Beach. Las Vegas’ installment, operated by the A5 Group, will provide nothing less, according to Adam Sadie, director of VIP services. The entertainment focus will be on electronic music and DJs, and on high production value rather than just celebrity hosts. Nikki Beach’s weekly events will include Amazing Sundays—a relaxed, weekly party brunch—and its industry parties Wednesday nights and Thursday days. The brand is well known for surprising partiers with unannounced guest DJs and performers.
The 15,000-square-foot venue boasts its own entrance and valet, and will function as both a day-club and nightclub. The entrance to the glamorous pool club is a mosaic tiled main bar, situated behind the spacious dance floor. Technology and LED rule the inside of the club: when it is completed, the DJ booth will be decked in LED lighting as will the three diamond-shape chandeliers. Each night, 45-52 tables will be available for bottle service, some booths being large enough to accommodate two separate parties. Guests enjoying expensive champagne will receive their bottle from the hands of Nikki Beach’s own bottle fairies, aerialists who perform Cirque du Soleil-worthy moves while delivering the goods.
The pool deck will be splashed in earth tones, including a wooden floor and South Beach-esque décor. A waterfall will flow into the large pool, surrounded by lounge chairs and daybeds, all available for rental. In addition to the open deck at the attached Café Nikki, a bottle and shot bar will quench guests’ thirst. Already open, Café Nikki will operate 24/7 and offer a locals happy hour every Thursday. Nikki Beach Club (NikkiBeachLasVegas.com) will open Wednesday through Saturday nights, Thursday through Sunday days giving Vegas plenty of time to help the Nikki Beach bottle fairies get their wings.
