Why sip from the glass when you can just get the whole pitcher? Las Vegas pools are getting it right, stirring, shaking and blending up delicious cocktails by the pitcher-full. So pour it on!
At Aria’s Liquid Pool Lounge, all nine signature cocktails, including the Watermelon Cooler, can be up-sized to a pitcher for $60. Now, don’t try this kind of math under the influence of the Liquid Passion, Liquid Lemonade, but that’s four regularly priced drinks. The same goes for the 13 specialty cocktails—Lava Flow included!—on the menu at The Mirage’s Bare Pool Lounge.
Palms Pool & Bungalows in the Palms has a winning way with presentation. The delicious Coconut Colada could only be served in the coconut from which it came—topped, of course, with a cherry and umbrella. But the rest of the menu, including the Paloma, Vegas Sunset and five species of mojitos, can jump from 14 ounces to a pitcher for just $49.
Daydream Pool Club and the main pool at M Resort share a menu, so you can go big even while opting for the secluded, adults-only enclave. Specialty drinks are served in 12-ounce, 20-ounce and—big gulp!—32-ounce doses, with a number of sangrias being served by the pitcher. Most popular on deck at M is the Shinsei sangria ($30), made with riesling, vodka, plum sake and fresh fruit. Stick that in your pitcher and sip it!
At the Cosmopolitan’s Marquee Dayclub, all specialty cocktails can be pitcher-size for $48; the Sparkling Sangria (featuring an entire bottle of Martini & Rossi Prosecco!) is available only as a pitcher.
Palazzo’s Mediterranean-inspired Azure Luxury Pool has your number: The signature sake margarita blends a traditional margarita with Momokawa’s G Joy junmai ginjo genshu Oregon sake. That, along with a pitcher of piña colada, frozen mojitos, frozen Bellini and strawberry smash, can be yours for $55 each.
Tao Beach at the Venetian has 10 unique ways for you to upgrade your cocktail to a $48 pitcher, including the now-famous Tao Beach Poolside, combining Veev Açaí Spirit, muddled green and red grapes, chilled chardonnay and fresh lemon juice.
Wet your whistle big-time with Wet Republic, where all 25 drinks are available in 16 ounce glasses or as pitchers starting at $75, including the very provocatively named Hard Body, Wet Tea Shirt and the Wet Hot Passion margarita. Grrrowl!
Encore Beach Club at Encore has cornered the top-shelf pitcher market, offering its eight specialty cocktails and five varieties of “adult lemonade” by the pitcher for $85. The Pear Mojito sneaks a little Red Bull into your day, along with the Grey Goose La Poire, fresh mint, lime juice and soda.
