Octagon Nation Tour rolls through Las Vegas

For all you UFC fight fans in Las Vegas this weekend that can’t get enough UFC 130 action, or those Memorial Day Weekend bashers (Here’s Vegas Seven’s to-do list) who’d rather shell out their big bucks for pool debauchery or late-night club hoping than a late-edition, nontitle main event between Matt Hamill and Quinton Jackson but still want to get their UFC fix — good news, you can meet up at the Octagon Nation Tour.

The multi-stop event, which features a fully customized 18-wheeler truck and two Octagon-sized tents containing the UFC’s ultimate fan experience and merchandise, is rolling through Sin City this weekend.

The nationwide summer tour debuted at UFC 129 in Toronto last month and will hit L.A., San Francisco, Chicago, New Orleans, Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C.

C’mon where else you gonna pick up a life-size Frank Mir cutout?

Today the UFC is previewing its UFC Personal Trainer video game at Fry’s Electronics (6683 Las Vegas Boulevard South). Tomorrow and Saturday the big rig will be at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, and on Sunday the event moves to Miller’s Ale House (6683 Las Vegas Boulevard South).

Can’t make it this weekend, the trailer and tents will be coming back to Vegas for next weekend’s Tuf 13 Finale at the Palms before hitting events such as the Bonnaroo Music Festival, Summer X Games, and the Quicksilver Pro.
