At long last, women are focusing more on looking au natural instead of dolled up. It’s called the “no makeup” look; ladies wearing less paint and instead wearing either nothing or a minimal amount. However, I prefer a “no makeup, just lipstick” look. While my aim is effortless beauty, I desire to give the impression that as I left my home in a mad rush (which is usually the case) I found just enough time to put on some lipstick – and only lipstick.
The truth is that I do wear makeup when doing the “no makeup” look, including mascara. I’m wearing makeup in the photo above. But I use the right products and have established the right skincare routine so that I can appear as though I’m not wearing any makeup at all, just lipstick.
Here are my tips.
The first thing you have to focus on when trying to create the perfect “no makeup” look is great skin. Regular cleansing, toning and moisturizing are a must. And depending on where you live and how much sun you are exposed to, so is sunscreen. If you have issues with large pores, I recommend using a microderm abrasion or exfoliating product at least twice a week, too. Cleanse, tone and moisturize, first thing in the morning and before you go to bed.
