Halle Berry does not acknowledge your petty rules

When the Tropicana’s Nikki Beach did its grand opening May 26, it turned to a tried and true Memorial Day tradition among the shindigista—a White Party.

While plenty of celebs—Dan Aykroyd, Gladys Knight, Holly Madison, Rita Rudner, Andre Agassi, Rick Harrison and Wayne Newton, among others—were willing to play along (and purchase yards of linen pants, by the looks of things), the evening’s big gun, Halle Berry, turned up in brown.

Even boyfriend Olivier Martinez tossed on a white button-down for the party. The grand opening was the Thursday before the holiday proper, so maybe Berry is just really strict about the whole no-white-before-Memorial Day rule.

No wonder David Justice, Eric Benet and Gabriel Aubry left her. She may be hot in ways that defy the laws of thermodynamics, but no one likes a stickler.
