After Celine Dion signed on for her second stint at the Caesars Palace Colosseum people wondered who would be next.
Today, AEG Live announced that Shania Twain will be the next resident headliner. Twain has signed on for a two-year, 120-show residency that starts Dec. 1, 2012.
Tickets will go on sale through an American Express pre-sale program tonight, right as Twain announces the winner for Best Male Video of the Year award on CMT for the 2011 CMA Awards.
“I’m beyond excited,” Twain said. “I feel like I’m on top of the world. I’d start tonight if I could.”
Twain said she took the last year to recover from voice complications, wrote her newly released autobiography and took time to explore Las Vegas. She plans to work on some new music in the meantime, but was uncertain if it would be ready by the time her residency begins.
