Chad Plummer wants to educate the public about the other scene in Las Vegas. Forget nightclubs and their performances by mainstream pop stars, Plummer is hoping to “showcase musical acts that would normally fall outside the mainstream perception of ‘Vegas entertainment.’”
Plummer is using the television show Vegas in Tune as the platform to help support the musical community that “locals know and what to see grow.” He is the senior producer, but the show is primarily created by UNLV journalism and film students.
Vegas in Tune just completed its second season, which featured interviews and special performances by local bands, including Dusty Sunshine, GoldBoot, Moksha, Otherwise and Same Sex Mary.
