Epitomizing the come-as-you-are party is the Sunday Pajama Brunch at Simon restaurant in Palms Place. For starters, just come in your pajamas; the staff’s in them as well (theirs, not yours, of course). Next, assuming last night was a typical Las Vegas Saturday night, make straight for the build-your-own Bloody Mary bar. If the world has stopped spinning, you can head to the cooking stations for freshly pressed paninis, sushi and a bucket of peel ’n’ eat shrimp. Or, if you’re still on shaky ground, let the servers fetch delicious à la carte items from the kitchen, such as chicken and waffles, a breakfast pizza or towering benedicts, and bottomless champagne—it’s all included for one price ($39.50 per person, plus $11 for the Bloody Mary bar or $17 for champagne), as is a trip to the candy bar on the way out. Simon says, “Eat sweets!”
A Peek at Life Is Beautiful 2017
Gorillaz are coming to Las Vegas for the first time ever. 2016’s Grammy winner for best new artist, Chance the Rapper, will return. English rockers Muse will bring their dizzying live show to the streets of Downtown. And that’s just the top of an eclectic bill that features more than 70 acts, along with comedy, interactive art installations, a group art exhibit featuring the work of Mark Ryden, Tara McPherson and Shepard Fairey and much more. Last year saw more than 137,000 attendees trod the festival footprint. Who’s ready for more?
