South African-born jewelry designer Dean Stuart Aaron found his passion for design at a young age. “I was always making things—anything,” he says. So it wouldn’t come as a surprise that the son of a jewelry wholesaler would eventually end up in jewelry design. Aaron worked with his father after moving to Las Vegas in 2003, and this year released his collection of necklaces, bracelets and earrings constructed with bare metals and baroque design dubbed Illuminati. The inspiration behind the line comes from a recent trip to London, where medieval torture devices pop up in numerous museums. Each piece is also accompanied with a conspiracy theory written by Aaron to shed light on world events. “It gives people something to think about.” IlluminatiShop.com.
