A rundown of the naughty and nice festivities comprising Las Vegas Pride 2011

For the first time in its history, Las Vegas Pride has relocated from the ever-advancing swelter of May to instead heat up Sept. 9-18. Let your true colors show during these naughty and nice Pride 2011 festivities. For a complete list of official activities, visit

Fri 9 – Throw on your cowboy boots and head down to Charlie’s for the official Pride kickoff party, where Pride 2011 Royalty will perform as well as hand out Jell-O shots. 5012 S. Arville Road, doors 9 p.m., show 10 p.m. free.

Sun 11 – Pride invades Luxor’s south pool for Temptation Sundays LGBT Pool Party with host J.Son. Enjoy a bachelor auction, go-go boys and raffles. In Luxor, 1-7 p.m., $20 cover, $10 locals.

Fri 16 – Ladies, join in Vegas’ first Dyke March (7-9 p.m.) or join the rest of the LGBT and crowd of supporters as the Pride Parade struts from West Charleston Boulevard. to Fourth Street and Ogden Avenue. 8-10 p.m., free.

Next, hit the female-friendly after-party at Insert Coin(s), where the cast of The Real L Word and go-gos galore take on the floor as a part of the four-day Shedonism soiree. 512 Fremont St., 9 p.m., $10 in advance at, $12 at the door.

Sat 17 – Prepare yourself for a day filled with entertainment by Mya, 98 Degrees’ Jeff Timmons, Josh Strickland, Cher impersonators and Vegas show performers along with vendors and exhibitors at the Pride Festival. 500 S. Grand Central Parkway, noon-10 p.m., adults $15, youth $10, children under 5 free.

LGBT party promoter Eduardo Cordova once again transforms Bare Pool Lounge into Heaven, with a live performance by Neon Hitch and sounds by DJ Brett Rubin. In The Mirage, doors 10:30 p.m., $20, locals free till midnight.

Sun 18 – Rumor has it—the resort that is. Indulge in the hotel’s Gluttony Brunch at Addiction, while enjoying live jazz (10 a.m.-1 p.m., $30 in advance, $35 at the door), then take it off and jump into the Vice Pool Party, hosted by the cast of The Real L Word. Closet Sundays at Revolution Lounge hosts the ultimate Pride Closing Party with DJ Chris Cox and hosted by Frank Marino of Divas. Don’t be a drag, just be a queen and be sure to come out for Pride 2011’s grand finale! In The Mirage, doors 10 p.m., $20, locals free till midnight.
