Chips and Salsa, Los Jarochos

This is a modest place, named for the state of Veracruz on Mexico’s Gulf Coast. The restaurant does great tacos al pastor and barbecued lamb, but nothing tops the chips and salsa: hot, salty corn chips astride a dish of pale-green salsa fragrant with chili and garlic. You’ll want seconds.

Lobster ME, a new place in the Miracle Mile Shops for classic New England lobster concoctions, aims to break that mold. The boys from LEV Restaurant Group already have their eyes on franchising, and after a few short weeks have received a flood of national press. They may really be on to something this time.
