Fried Chicken Wings in Garlic Sauce, Soyo Korean Barstaurant

This popular late-night spot does Korean-style chicken wings right. A far cry from its spicy Buffalo cousin (though there is a version with spicy sauce on the menu), this Korean fried chicken wing is crunchy on the outside, thanks to a slightly sweet garlic glaze that caramelizes on the wing. They arrive piping hot, with a sprinkle of sesame seeds to add nuttiness to the sweet and salty combination.

The Shell Game

We’re a popular test market for restaurant chains, but it isn’t often that a chain is born here and later franchised. Lobster ME, a new place in the Miracle Mile Shops for classic New England lobster concoctions, aims to break that mold. The boys from LEV Restaurant Group already have their eyes on franchising, and after a few short weeks have received a flood of national press. They may really be on to something this time.
