Maine Lobster Mac and Cheese, P.J. Clarke’s

This isn’t your typical bright yellow mac and cheese. P.J. Clarke’s version is more like lobster bisque that happens to have orecchiette pasta in it. The sauce itself is creamy and fragrant like a proper bisque should be, while large hunks of lobster—a whole pound at dinner, along with peas and mushrooms—are studded throughout. This dish is a meal in itself. In the Forum Shops at Caesars, $24 lunch, $34 dinner, 434-7900.

Lil’ BGRs, STK

By Grace Bascos

We’re all familiar with a certain sandwich jingle that begins, “Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese …” but STK takes that big sandwich and makes it the Lil’ BGR, a four-pack of sliders packed with big flavor. The beef patties in this case are Wagyu beef, and the special sauce is carefully seasoned for a little kick, while tart Japanese pickles cut through the richness. And it all fits nicely on a toasted, sesame-seed bun. Want to go even more over the top? Add truffles or foie gras. You won’t find this burger under those golden arches.
