Pink is the new black

More than 192,000 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected be diagnosed this year, the 25th anniversary of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In October, retailers with a heart have partnered with various foundations designed to aid in breast-cancer research and education, creating limited-edition pink products that give you the “shopportunity” to participate and donate. Here are the best of the best, all of which benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure:

Give $10 at the on-site information center at either Las Vegas Premium Outlets, north or south, and receive a special savings card of 25 percent off a single item at participating stores. At Tory Burch, in the Forum Shops at Caesars and at the Shoppes at the Palazzo, you can tickle your feet pink with the specially designed fuchsia patent flat. Fifteen percent of sales of the shoe are being donated back to the cause.

Perfumania is making a sweet commitment to breast-cancer awareness by donating a portion of every purchase of the women’s fragrance Promise Me ($35). Meanwhile, fashion brand Guess is donating 20 percent of proceeds from its pink-ribbon product: the Sparkling Pink watch ($105). Shop both retailers at Town Square.

Sephora rejoins the fight for a cure with a collection of four pink products designed to benefit breast cancer awareness and research: pop-up hairbrush ($8), color flip palette ($15), eyelash curler ($16) and makeup brush set ($60). Find this beauty spot at both Town Square and Miracle Mile. While at Miracle Mile, take note that its fountain has gone pink. Make a wish and toss a coin, as all money collected during October goes to Susan G. Komen.
