Chumlee kicks off Vegas Valley Book Festival with haikus

Pawn Stars’ Chumlee has something to fall back on if the pawn business goes south: poetry. He helped kick off the Vegas Valley Book Festival on Nov. 4 by reading haikus about Las Vegas that were submitted online. And people always say an English degree isn’t practical.

Justin Bieber’s personal Billie Jean should at least be able to make a couple quick bucks on the club circuit. Mariah Yeater, who attended Las Vegas middle and high schools from 2004 to 2008, has a court date on Dec. 12 stemming from an incident in 2010 when she allegedly slapped ex-boyfriend John Terranova—after accusing him of being the father of her child.

Not that they need any particular reason to show up in town, half the cast of Jersey Shore was here for the weekend to play into as many stereotypes as they could in as short an amount of time as possible.
