Style icons: Gordon Gartrell from The Cosby Show, his great uncle Walter who always wore a crisp outfit no matter the event and all the old guys in the barbershop when he was growing up in Chicago.
What he is wearing now: Joseph Abboud suit, Van Heusen shirt, City of London tie, Kenneth Cole watch, Ralph Lauren belt and socks, and Cole Haan shoes.
The funnyman says clothes and fashion are therapy for him. “I usually dress depending on how I feel. If I’m in a situation that calls for a real formal or serious outfit, but I’m in a more jovial mood, you can bet my socks are in a world of their own,” he says. As for his most memorable fashion disaster? “My Miami Vice phase. I thought I was Crockett and Tubbs for about a year, which didn’t work too well growing up in the Midwest.”
