Tired of having masses of club-goers slow down the cocktail waitress en route to deliver your newly purchased champagne or large-format booze bottles to your table? Most Las Vegas nightclubs have long since figured out that elaborate bottle presentation (sparklers, crowd-surfing Superman) is the way to win the hearts—and hopefully open the wallets—of high-end VIP table customers. Only Tao Nightclub takes this custom to new heights, employing a “bottle fairy” to ensure that everyone in the club is very much aware of your big purchase. Launching from the ceiling, an experienced acrobatic aerialist is tasked to delicately soar 12 feet above the dance floor, bottle in hand, to spectacularly deliver all purchases in excess of $1,500 to dance-floor tables 53 and 54. Worth mentioning is the Tropicana’s new RPM Nightclub (at the former site of Club Nikki), where a bottle angel will similarly float along a ceiling track and drop to any of the circular dance floor tables with bottles in hand.
A Peek at Life Is Beautiful 2017
Gorillaz are coming to Las Vegas for the first time ever. 2016’s Grammy winner for best new artist, Chance the Rapper, will return. English rockers Muse will bring their dizzying live show to the streets of Downtown. And that’s just the top of an eclectic bill that features more than 70 acts, along with comedy, interactive art installations, a group art exhibit featuring the work of Mark Ryden, Tara McPherson and Shepard Fairey and much more. Last year saw more than 137,000 attendees trod the festival footprint. Who’s ready for more?
