Opening amid the dramatic takeover of electronic music, and the competition to create the most stimulating and memorable nightlife experiences, Marquee Nightclub knew its visuals had to match its stellar DJ lineup. That’s why Tao Group hired Emilio Sa and Vello Virkhaus to create unique themes for the club’s chic party ambience. Tao Group President Jason Strauss’ favorite look is also Marquee’s signature look: Golden Goddess, featuring gold-painted girls who look like Mediterranean goddesses. The VJs created themed residency shows for some of the club’s most popular DJs, now overseen solely by Sa, including Kaskade, Redfoo, Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez and Chuckie. No matter what the crowd looks like, one look around and we’re mesmerized.
