Intriguing People 2012

Meet the figures who will, in ways both great and small, shape our community in the year ahead. Here you’ll meet an indefatigable elementary school principal, a homegrown track star with his eyes on multiple Olympic gold medals and a Tesla-driving vegan travel-biz guru. You’ll meet a young philanthropist bullish on the city’s future, a well-inked artist who takes the no-holds-barred Ve- gas myth to heart, and a restaurateur who seems to get it right every time. They are extraordinary people, unbowed by these strange days. But look close enough and you’ll see shades of your neighbor and reflections of yourself.
