Rebels slide three spots in both Top 25 polls

UNLV entered Saturday’s game at Wyoming with a shot at cracking the top 10 in Monday morning’s latest Top 25 rankings.

Instead, the Rebels dropped a few spots in both the AP and ESPN/USA Today polls.

Following a 68-66 loss in Laramie that brought UNLV to the mid-way point in Mountain West play at 21-4 overall and 5-2 in conference, the Rebels fell from No. 11 to No. 14 in the AP poll.

In the coaches poll, UNLV slipped from No. 13 to No. 16.

The Rebels are off until Saturday, when they’ll host No. 13 San Diego State (20-3, 6-1) at 1 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center in what will likely be the team’s biggest home game of the season.
