Some good fortune Lucky Lady Lucy had on First Friday. Her job, being a flamable wooden sculpture and all, was to be sacrificed to the gods of culture as hundreds of Arts District revelers—a few of whom looked fairly combustible themselves—cheered along the corner of Third Street and Colorado Avenue. It was the first such ceremonial burning downtown, designed to spark some fresh arts enthusiasm.
