Wrath of the Titans

(PG) ★★☆☆☆

This more-of-the-same sequel lacks inspiration or zest in storytelling, performance or action. Perseus (Sam Worthington) is now a widower and single father, having given up soldiering until a multi-headed creature invades his village and he must reveal the powers he possesses as half man, half god. His father, Zeus (Liam Neeson), is himself engaged in battle with his brother Hades (Ralph Fiennes) and full-god son Ares (Édgar Ramirez). Most of this film feels off.

Longtime Las Vegas artist and UNLV prof Mary Warner may be moving to Sacramento, Calif., but she’s leaving with a serious bang. Coming off the strength of last month’s vibrant, botanical-themed Heavy Petal show at Trifecta Gallery, Warner weighs in on the housing bust with new works in Dreamhouse, a group exhibit that also features artist Mark Brandvik and sculptor Emily Kennerk.
