An oldie but a goodie. From the House of Cocchi, and still made with the same recipe as it has since 1891, this aperitivo wine layers a blend of fruit, spice and herbs including cinchona, gentian and citrus upon a base of Moscato di Asti. While it does beautiful and intriguing things to cocktails, the delicate flavors of Cocchi Americano can also be appreciated by serving it over ice with just a splash of soda and an orange twist. At the other end of the spectrum, Cocchi also offers an aromatized digestivo called Chinato.
