Club gig bad for Wentz’s feet

Now that Fall Out Boy is done, Pete Wentz has turned to electronic music to fill the emo-shaped hole in his heart. His two-man operation, Black Cards, had a gig along with Spencer Peterson at Pure on April 21. And that’s when the wrath of osteology struck.

Wentz injured his ankle, Tweeting out “Ugh thrashed my ankle last night. Same one I broke a few years ago. Not good.” As a result, the band is pulling out of several upcoming shows. This is what happens when you have a Jeff Gillooly Commemorative Baton Giveaway Night. Worst club promotion ever. Also, oddly specific to 1994. It does make sense for Robin Wright’s DJ J3nny Curr4n appearance, though.

Iron-ing out the Tyson stage show

By most accounts, Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth wasn’t the train-crashing-into-the-Hindenburg-at-Chernobyl level of disaster that many (OK, we) expected it to be. This may be bad news to those of us whose favorite form of entertainment is rubbernecking, but good news for Mike Tyson’s chances of realizing his stated dream of bringing the show to Broadway.
