Over the weekend, we saw the second-seeded Thunder go into Dallas and send the defending NBA champs into summer vacation with a pair of road wins that secured a 4-0 series sweep. Tonight, the top-seeded Spurs will plagiarize that script when they sweep away the Jazz in Salt Lake City. Not only has San Antonio pummeled Utah in the first three games of this series (106-91, 114-83, 102-90, covering the spread in each contest), but the Spurs are 9-1 against the Jazz since the start of last season. The only misstep was an April 9 contest in Utah when San Antonio’s big three of Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker were on the bench in three-piece suits, taking the night off following a 10-point win over the Jazz the previous night. Take away that game, and the Spurs are 7-1-1 against the spread vs. Utah since last November. Additionally, the favorite is on a 20-5-1 ATS roll in this rivalry (6-0-1 ATS this season). Here’s another beauty for you: Gregg Popovich’s graybeards have won 13 straight games since April 12, going 12-0-1 ATS.
