Tickets are still available for this weekend’s epicurean mega-fest

Vegas Uncork’d by Bon Appetite weekend is a behemoth, and a hungry one at that. The sixth annual event spans four resorts—Caesars, Bellagio, the Cosmopolitan and Mandalay Bay—and represents a level of cross-casino cooperation rarely seen outside of Restaurant Week. The four-day affair (schedule and tickets at VegasUncorked.com) will feature plenty of familiar faces making first-time appearances, including Michel Richard at his master’s series dinner May 10, and Gordon Ramsay, whose restaurant opens May 11 at Paris, at the Grand Tasting.

“What I love about Vegas Uncork’d is that it’s in Vegas,” says Bon Appetite editor-in-chief Adam Rapoport. No matter what brings you out here for the weekend, “you can complement those daily activities with one of these top-flight events. And I think that is pretty special.”

Very special and very high on Rapoport’s own itinerary is Saturday’s “At the Fish Market with Costas Spiliades.” The Estiatorio Milos executive chef will educate guests on his restaurant’s high-end fish procurement program. “It’s all about the quality of the seafood and how they get the freshest and most pristine seafood in the world,” Rapoport says. “I think events like these should be fun, but they should also be educational.”

Spago’s 20th Anniversary Lunch with Wolfgang Puck

Past and present Spago executive chefs share personal anecdotes and dish about 20 years of Las Vegas fine dining while you enjoy a four-course meal with wine pairings. $150, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. May 10, at Spago in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.

Master Series: “And Then There Were Two,” with Michel Richard

Sophie Gayot of Gayot.com—which named Central a 2012 Top New Restaurant—co-hosts along with Bon Appetite contributing wine editor David Lynch to present a five-course dinner with wine pairings. $135, 7-10 p.m. May 10, at Central Michel Richard in Caesars.

Grand Tasting

Sample a staggering variety of signature dishes from more than 50 chefs including Ramsay, Richard, Spiliadis, Bobby Flay, Guy Savoy, José Andrés, Hubert Keller, Nobu Matsuhisa, David Myers, Scott Conant, Todd English, Rick Moonen, Charlie Palmer, Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger. Also, visit the Bombay Bar, Mionetto Lounge and a Taste of the Forum. $200, 7:30-10 p.m. May 11, in the Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis at Caesars.

Celebrity Chef Poker Tournament

Celebrity chefs (and maybe you!) go head-to-head to raise money for Communities in Schools and Vegas Roots. Enjoy live DJs, bites by STK and Blue Ribbon, and specialty cocktails from Comme Ça. $85 to watch, $200 to play (includes buy-in), 10:30 p.m.-1 a.m. May 11, at the Boulevard Pool in the Cosmopolitan.

Fish Market with Costas Spiliadis

Hear it from the man himself: how they care for it, how they prepare it and why the Mediterranean diet is so, so good for you. $140, 12-2 p.m. May 12, at Estiatorio Milos in the Cosmopolitan.

The Nature of a Good Party with Alain Ducasse

Toast to the good life with chef Alain Ducasse and enjoy the five-course Taste of Mix menu with wine pairings. Guests also receive a signed copy of Ducasse’s latest cookbook, Nature: Simple, Healthy, and Good (Rizzoli, $45). $185, 5-7 p.m. May 12, at Mix in TheHotel at Mandalay Bay.
