Seven Nights

This week in your city.

Thu 7

As if you couldn’t tell by this issue’s cover, the Electric Daisy Carnival is upon us! Check out a rundown of related events. For those who slacked on getting tickets before they sold out, there are plenty of other entertaining options. For example, if you’re a fan of rubber duckies—and who isn’t?—the Vegas Duck Party returns to the Palms Place Pool with 25,000 of the little guys floating around. (7 p.m., Nightclubs can be funny places, as Marquee’s Mike Diamond knows. Taking a break from door duties, he’ll be opening for comedian Colin Kane at the Laugh Factory. (In the Tropicana, 8:30 and 10:30 p.m., To ogle lovely ladies and enjoy two-for-one drink specials, Cosmopolitan Connections presents Hottie Host Models at Lily. (In Bellagio, 7 p.m., Also on the radar, Dutch duo the Bingo Players are at Surrender for Splash Dance, so bring your swimsuit—and ladies get open bar from 11 p.m. to midnight. (In Encore, 10:30 p.m., Downtown at Beauty Bar, 9G Records presents electro-house all night with Dani Deahl, Cold Blank and more to help you gear up for EDC. (517 E. Fremont St., 9 p.m.,

Fri 8

Today you get not one but two chances to see chart-topper Jason Derulo perform live. First up, he’s singing in the sun for Ditch Fridays at the Palms Pool & Bungalows (doors at 9 a.m.), and then at Rain Nightclub. (In Palms, 10 p.m.,

Sat 9

Now here’s a name you don’t hear in Vegas every day: Scottish DJ/producer Gary Beck. The man who gained notoriety thanks to Richie Hawtin picking up “Consumed” for the Minus label stops by the Artisan as Sen5es presents its Hyper Space party. (1501 W. Sahara Ave., 10 p.m., Adding to Beachlife offerings, Collective Zoo’s Pool Party Safari stops at Breathe. (At Hard Rock Hotel, noon, T-Pain takes a break from Auto-Tune and steps into the booth for a special DJ set at Haze. (In Aria, 10:30 p.m., And in case you forgot, it’s also fight night with Pacquiao vs. Bradley at the MGM. Adult-film actress Kaylani Lei hosts an after-party at Crazy Horse III and Posh Boutique Nightclub. (3525 W. Russell Road, 9 p.m.,

Sun 10

For those killing time until the gates open for the last night of EDC, head over to Liquid where Felix Cartal will spin a guest set. We’ve been playing his latest album, Different Faces, on repeat, and we highly recommend his tunes. (At Aria, 11 a.m.,

Mon 11

Recovery time! No? OK, keep on raging and stop by Bare—especially if you’re a girl whose favorite bikini suffered the wrath of EDC. For the Party Dolls and Pinups event, local ladies can score a free retro-style bikini, complimentary ’50s up-dos and free drinks all day! Bettie Page could only be so lucky. (At The Mirage, 11 a.m., Then carbo-load at Comme Ça as it introduces Gastropub Mondays with some bangers and mash, handkerchief pasta and—wait for it—a different featured Kilbeggan Irish Whiskey cocktail each week, plus live music from the Whispering Giants. (In Cosmopolitan, 5 p.m.,

Tue 12

You might want to load up on orange juice and 5HTP so you’ll make it to Nickel F***ing Beer night at Beauty Bar for its EDC Withdrawal Edition party. L.A. dubstep outfit Dirty Deeds provides the soundtrack, and you provide the spare change to get a buzz going. (517 E. Fremont St., 9 p.m.,

Wed 13

Maybe we throw the term “old school” around too much, but we really mean it this time. Diamond D from New York City’s hip-hop collective D.I.T.C. (Diggin’ in the Crates Crew) graces Vegas with a set at Insert Coin(s), plus the free Veuve Clicquot from 10-11 p.m. is tempting as well. (512 E. Fremont St., 10 p.m.,

Foxx gets some sun

Foxx gets some sun

By Jason Scavone

Maybe dubstep wasn’t Jamie Foxx’s bag, but he turned up at Rehab on May 27 along with Ne-Yo, Sean Kingston, Nipsey Hussle and Carmello Anthony. Foxx kept it going straight through to Vanity for the Rehab after-party, where he was pouring out al-al-al-al-al-alcohol to girls in front of the DJ booth. He probably also made them listen to that song, too. Bad trade off, all things considered.
