The Church of Dance: Electric Daisy Carnival, Day 3

WTPA? “Where’s The Party At?” you ask? It’s on a perfect Sunday night in June, with twinkling lights in the desert creating a music-worship experience, otherwise known as Day 3 of the Electric Daisy Carnival 2012 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Though turnstile attendance numbers were not available at the time of this posting, a visual inspection of the event yielded a sizable increase in attendance, due partially in part to high winds resulting in early departures Saturday night. To make up for the change in plans and the seven major festival stages being shut down for safety concerns, Insomniac extended the invitation to single-day Saturday ticket-holders to return Sunday at no charge.

As good vibes soared, the Circuit Grounds, a.k.a. the A State of Trance stage, Armin van Buuren hopped on the decks for make-up set since he was unable to play last night (though he is scheduled still for his original second set on the main stage later on). An additional fireworks display was also added at 10 p.m. to make up for the cancellation on Saturday.

Over at the Kinetic Field, Pretty Lights, an act you may not expect to see on the main stage as it’s a departure for the typically more commercial artists—took things down a bit with his brand of trip-hop, but still held the crowd.
