The Last Drop Cognac and Whisky

Not one more bottle of this stuff will ever be made. That’s exactly what the creators of The Last Drop Cognac and blended scotch whisky had in mind. Just 478 bottles of the cognac and 1,347 bottles of the scotch were ever made. Forty-eight years after being distilled, the cask-strength (108 proof) scotch was crafted from 70 malt whiskies and 12-grain whiskies collected from dormant and closed distilleries. The Cognac’s story begins with a cache of forgotten barrels of French brandy discovered 60 years after they came off the traditional wood-fired copper pot still. Whether the products’ origins really were as breathlessly romantic as they sound, who knows? But when they’re gone, they’re gone forever.
