A Wynning Partnership With Ultra Records

How cool would it be if, as you’re leaving the club and still reveling in the night’s amazing tunes, you received a CD or USB stick of the set you just heard? We’ve had our fingers crossed for years someone would bring the concept to fruition. Till then, we’ve found the next best thing.

Over at Wynn’s party places, a new partnership with America’s largest electronic music label, Ultra Records, is under way, allowing you to take a bit of the experience home with you. The new label, simply titled Ultra/Wynn, plans to release a series of compilations highlighting the works of the resident DJs/producers at XS, Tryst, Surrender and Encore Beach Club.

First up with a release date tentatively scheduled for sometime in July, Ultra/Wynn will focus on the sounds of summer featured at Encore Beach Club and tracks from Afrojack, Avicii, Calvin Harris, Deadmau5, Lil Jon and Steve Aoki, with Sidney Samson handling the mixing duties for a seamless set perfect for cruising the Strip. Releasing Sept. 1, the nighttime energy of XS takes center stage for the second installment.

But don’t expect the Ultra/Wynn releases to merely be regurgitating the biggest club-bangers. New music and collaborations between Wynn residents, as well as contributions from up-and-coming Las Vegas producers, are also part of the plan.

In addition to sharing the sounds of Wynn’s hot spots, Ultra’s YouTube channel will stream live sets from the venues, plus a weekly Wynn Nightlife Report complete with DJ interviews and behind-the-scenes moments, so fans won’t miss a moment of the action, no matter where in the world they are tuning in.

He’s not yet 21, but Alessandro “Alesso” Lindblad is fast becoming one of the biggest names in electronic dance music. This prodigal Swede definitely has his raw talent to thank, but having Swedish House Mafia frontman Sebastian Ingrosso recognize it and nurture his career certainly hasn’t hurt. Alesso played the main stage at the recent Electric Daisy Carnival. Vegas Seven caught up with him on the eve of that headlining gig to talk about his meteoric rise to fame, upcoming projects and coming of age at XS on July 9.
