Employees sometimes actually do leave the den of happiness at Zappos, but we assume it’s always for a higher cause. Like the three guys who took a whacky idea drummed up during Las Vegas Startup Weekend and turned it into the Rumgr iPhone app, which allows users to snap a picture of unwanted items and post them for sale. How successful has Rumgr been? Not only did the trio bail on Zappos, but they recently attracted $500,000 in venture funding. Here’s hoping they don’t spend it all on cubicle decorations and hanging ferns.
