The Blinking Man Bike Posse is our favorite kind of biker gang—bicycle-mounted, all-inclusive and fascinated by shiny objects. “Our philosophy is that everyone owns Blinking Man. You own it by showing up to ride,” spokeswoman Kathleen Kahr D’Esposito says. “Our goal is to get adults—term used very loosely—back on bikes and cruising around downtown.” Blinking Man hosts several official rides a year—the next one is Oct. 20, with a “Heroes vs. Villains” theme—but mostly it’s a loose-knit gang of bicyclists riding to bars, thrift stores or First Friday. Some have lights and bells on their bikes and some don’t, but everyone enjoys the ride. Facebook.com/blinkingman.
