Several moments in the last decade promised that UNLV basketball is back, but they all were trumped in November when the Rebels upset No. 1 North Carolina at the Orleans Arena, 90-80. What the win represented was huge, but what might get lost in the mix is just how dominant of a performance it was. UNLV jumped out early and simply got better as the game wore on. Court got stormed. Fan base rejoiced (some even cried). Program was back on the map. Now let’s hope the Dec. 29 rematch in Chapel Hill keeps us there.
