Outrageous Art Party

Some events are simply more fabulous than others. And ARTrageous is the fabulous-est. The annual fundraiser for the Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada returns to the Cosmopolitan with a visual and performing arts spectacular. Nearly 40 visual artists will participate in a juried fine art show. A main stage will feature two fashion shows—one for indie local designers, such as Flockflockflock, and another for boutiques at the Cosmopolitan. There will also be live performances by an array of local and Strip performers, ranging from music to an improv salon. To top it all off, the event will boast a “body-painting runway show.” No need to face so much art on an empty stomach; ARTrageous is offering a Wicked Spoon buffet dinner package.

Oliver Stone’s return to the big screen proves that marijuana cultivation, sales and distribution are the right way to live large and menage-a-trois it through endless summer days. Chon (Taylor Kitsch) is an ex-Navy SEAL who, along with his bro-pal Ben (Aaron Johnson), starts a wildly successful marijuana endeavor. Business booms, and Salma Hayek’s Mexican cartel takes notice, which leads to kidnapping of the bros’ best girl (Blake Lively), and masterful turn by Benicio del Toro as Hayek’s henchman.
