The Tell Storytellers Set

Vegas Seven’s storytelling series The Tell returns to the El Cortez on Thursday, and with it, a fresh batch of orators, from stage actors to authors to musicians, are set to take you through their Oh S#it Moment – the event’s theme this time around.  Your lineup for the event  (Doors at 7 p.m., $5):

• Daniel Kucan is a writer, designer and performer currently appearing on A&E’s Sell This House: Extreme. Previously he was the resident designer and carpenter on ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Born and raised in Las Vegas, he has been a performer on television, on- and off-Broadway, in films and video games. He currently lives in Los Angeles.

• Joshua Bitton worked in several plays off-Broadway, including Romeo and Juliet, The Seagull and The Crumple Zone. He’s an active television actor and has been a guest on The Job, Without a Trace, 7th Heaven, Navy NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service, Commander in Chief, Miami Medical, Justified and was Sgt. J.P. Morgan in The Pacific.

• Cassie J. Sneider is the author of Fine Fine Music. She is the host of THE WORST! reading series in San Francisco and Brooklyn, in which writers, musicians and other weirdos tell stories about their worst jobs, dates and other laughably terrible experiences.

•Zoe Kohen Ley is a native Las Vegan and Oberlin Conservatory-trained cellist who has performed in Phantom of the Opera: the Vegas Spectacular, with the Las Vegas Philharmonic and is a member of electric string quartet, Phat Strad.

•Samantha O’Brien is a master hair stylist at the award-winning Globe Salon in downtown Las Vegas.

•Leslie Bocskor is a recent Las Vegas transplant, Burning Man enthusiast and promoter.  He runs the Society for Experimental Arts and Learning with his wife, Corey Mervis, which has brought events like the Las Vegas Halloween parade and the Lucky Lady Lucy burn to First Friday.
