Have Faith, Vegas.
No, seriously—have Faith Hill, and take hubby Tim McGraw while you’re at it, as the Venetian announced today that the married country superstars will commence a 10-weekend residency at its 1,815-seat Venetian Theater stating Dec. 7 and running through April 2013. That makes December a rollicking month for the property, as the musical Rock of Ages also open there that month. Both additions replenish the Venetian’s entertainment slate, which loses both Phantom—The Las Vegas Spectacular, leaving after its Sept. 2 finale, and Blue Man Group, which concludes its run there in September before relocating to the Monte Carlo in October.
The Venetian Theater, officials say, will be modified to accommodate the production that will feature “innovative lighting and set design technologies” consistent with the duo’s Soul2Soul tour concerts.
Also called Soul2Soul, the Hill-McGraw show marks the first time the couple has performed together in the United States in six years. Tickets will be $95.50, $175.50, $255.50 and $295.50. A ticket “pre-sale” begins Wednesday, with tickets for the general public going on sale Aug. 13.
