Where: Wynn Las Vegas

Go there … if you’re a sports-car enthusiast who lusts over all things Ferrari.

The details … Thinking of Ferrari instantly brings to mind the signature color—red. And the hue is splashed on just about everything at the premium automaker’s Wynn Las Vegas boutique. The company launched its first retail store in 2006, and now has a network of outposts selling Ferrari-branded everything—from hats to key chains and briefcases—worldwide. The apparel line of scarlet baseball caps and logoed T-shirts are the best-sellers, but nothing can escape the prancing horse logo, and items such as driving gloves, poker sets, peddled cars and surfboards are up for grabs. Attire for the whole family, personalized memorabilia and exclusive collectables of Ferrari original car parts also line the shelves. And if your pockets go deep, the store is connected to a full-service dealership (a tour for non-buyers is $10) in case you’re looking for a new ride to add to the collection.

Don’t leave the store without … a carbon fiber chess set ($1,995), Prima Ferrari stroller ($250), or the hood from an original 268 SP nose car ($16,995).

Is This Vegas or Am I Dreaming?

If you are like me and you have lived in Vegas so long you can’t live without Vegas even when you travel, make sure and check into the Dream Downtown on your next break to New York City. Not only will Las Vegans find familiar faces right and left (Thanks to the fact that the rooftop bar PH-D and lobby restaurant Marble Lane are kin to Vegas’ Tao Group) but the thumping DJ in the lobby and stylish crowd will make you feel as if you never left the desert, save for the better weather this time of year.
