Gold medal earns you a trip to the clubs

The gold medal-winning U.S. women’s soccer team got its night in the sun Sept. 28 at Chateau, where Hope Solo, Tina Ellertson and Sydney Leroux were all in to toss some mini soccer balls to the crowd. It’s nice to see Olympians who aren’t Ryan Lochte be celebrated by the nightlife scene.

Eva Longoria played host Sept. 29 at Tao. She already had a steak house in Beso, which is now going to become a different steakhouse called SHe, and she came to the club wearing a leather dress. It’s safe to conclude that this is a woman who really, really hates cows.

Before electronic dance music was the hot topic in Las Vegas nightlife, we had our own internationally known DJ/producer making waves with tracks such as “Discoteka” and, more recently, “Pressure” with Nadia Ali and Alex Kenji, “After Midnight” featuring Marcella Woods and “What Does Tomorrow Bring” with Richard Beynon featuring Natalie Peris (due out Oct. 1). But for Starkillers, a.k.a. Nick Terranova, whose résumé includes playing sold-out shows at the O2 arena in the U.K. and the Ministry of Sound World Tour in Korea, living in Las Vegas was actually hurting more than helping.
