Trouble With the Curve

(PG-13) ★★★☆☆

Clint Eastwood plays Gus, an aging Atlanta Braves baseball scout whose eyes are failing and whose contract is up. Amy Adams, who is getting better by the movie, plays Gus’ workaholic lawyer daughter, Mickey, who has daddy issues. Mickey joins Gus in North Carolina and attracts the eye of another scout and former player, played by Justin Timberlake. A wholly predictable and yet serenely enjoyable film.
