The Rebels have won a game without Mike Moser this season, but they certainly don’t want to push their luck. The junior forward was a limited participant in Friday’s practice, and the team remains hopeful that he’ll be able to take the court on Sunday when the Rebels play at Cal.
Moser is nursing a strained left hip that kept him from playing at Portland on Tuesday. This was his first action since injuring the hip in the final minutes of the Hawaii game.
“I’m just taking it day by day now,” said Moser. “It’s getting better every day. That’s all I can really hope for.”
He’ll test the hip again at tomorrow morning’s practice before the Rebels hit the road, and it could end up being a game-time decision. If he’s unable to go, senior Quintrell Thomas would once again be in line to get the start.
Moser is averaging 12.3 points, 9.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.
