Up in the Polls

Rebels move to No. 20 in AP Top 25, No. 17 in Coaches' Poll

This week’s national rankings have been released, and UNLV received a modest bump after a perfect 2-0 week on the road.

The Rebels (7-1) are now No. 20 in the AP Top 25, and No. 17 in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll after moving up one spot in each.

UNLV beat Portland, 68-60, on Dec. 4 in the team’s first road game of the season, then traveled to Cal and won, 76-75, on a last-second putback from Quintrell Thomas.

Mountain West rivals New Mexico (10-0) and San Diego State (7-1) are Nos. 17 and 18 in the AP Top 25, respectively. San Diego State is No. 15 in the Coaches’ Poll, while New Mexico is No. 20.
