Vegas Seven is planning our fourth annual “Cheap Eats” issue, and we need your help.

It’s that time of year when Vegas Seven dining writers fan out in search of the most delicious deals, blissful bargains and scrumptious steals to be found in our food-forward city.

Our fourth annual roundup of Cheap Eats will hit the streets this spring, and if it’s anything like last year’s issue, it’ll be full of mouthwatering specials like $5 poutine and $3.25 pork belly.

But we need your assistance, readers. Where do you go for cheap eats? Tell us in the comments section below. Please include the name of the restaurant, name of the dish, price, and why you think it deserves to be a part of this year’s issue. And if you feel inspired to do a little field research first, well, we’re not going to stop you.

• Insert Coin(s) has always had a small cocktail menu, but owner Chris LaPorte would like to see a greater cocktail presence at his popular barcade. Along with Vegas Seven nightlife writer Deanna Rilling and emcee Tony Abou-Ganim, I recently helped judge Insert Coin(s)’ first cocktail competition, a showdown between Hennessy Black and Stoli Elit. Barman Justin Alferez’ winning cocktail—Need for Speed featuring Hennessy Black, Drambuie, apricot puree, lemon juice and a pear cider float—will be placed on the 2013 menu for all to enjoy.
