Vegas Native (and Jimmy Kimmel’s Sister) Makes the Rounds at Local Comedy Clubs

jill-bryan.jpgLas Vegas native (though current Phoenix resident) Jill Bryan—sister of late-night host Jimmy Kimmel—has only been doing stand-up comedy since 2006. But she’s already played a number of gigs around town, performing at Big Al’s Comedy Club in the Orleans, the Louis Anderson Theater at Palace Station and the King’s Room at the Rio. That last one came with a visit from Sarah Silverman, hanging out in the audience. So, no pressure or anything. The Clark High School grad will perform at the Primm Valley Bonkerz February 22-23. Local Artist 'Re-shapes' Work for New L.A. Exhibit

When prepping for a solo exhibit at the Mark Moore Gallery in Los Angeles, Downtown-based artist David Ryan altered his creative process. The usually deliberate creator wanted to loosen things up, so, perhaps counterintuitively, he applied some informal rules to guide him. The result is Object>Path>Outline>Stroke, five new sculptural paintings that retain Ryan's well-known style while offering a playful new twist.
